Galapagos Island ferry services operate between San Cristóbal Island and Santa Cruz Island. Besides ferry service, boat service is another preferred mode of transport for exploring the archipelago. Reservations need to be made for with private boat agencies months in advance. Some tour operators have tie-ups with boat companies and offer all inclusive packages to tourists. Luxury cruises also offer tour packages to Galapagos.

Best time to visit Galapagos


There are basically two types of seasons in Galapagos- wet and dry. Months from December through June are the dry and hot season. It is also the best season to visit the archipelago. Temperature is between 26-30°C during this time of the year. July to November is the rainy season.
