Making a plan to travel to Brazil for spending your next vacation? Here are two hottest carnivals of the country that you would simply love to enjoy. Have a look into the rest of the blog post:
• ‘Rio Carnival’, Rio de Janeiro: ‘Rio Carnival’ or ‘The Carnival in Rio de Janeiro’ is one of the biggest celebrations in the entire world. If you are planning for travelling to Brazil during Easter, then make sure that you are attending this five-day long festivity to have a lifetime experience. It starts from Friday and ends on Tuesday that comes prior to the ‘Ash Wednesday’ (the day that comes 46 days preceding Easter). Local people as well as international tourists can enjoy the wild and colourful Rio Carnival to the most, throughout these 5 days. Some of the exclusive events of this carnival are floated parades, free live concerts, ball parties, samba dance shows, and so on. Just take an ample dose of caipirinhas and join the carefree crowds.
• ‘Círio de Nazaré’, Belém: During your travel to Brazil, do not miss out the ‘Círio de Nazaré’ in Belém. Being the largest carnival on River Amazon, it has become extremely popular among travellers worldwide. The entire celebration of Círio de Nazaré, held throughout the second week of October, is centred on a little statuette of ‘Nossa Senhora de Nazaré’. According to the local folks, this statue is an epitome of wonder and miracles. As a result of this belief, they have been showing honour to this ‘Virgin’ by arranging a river procession each year with lots of boats and carrying the figurine from Belem to Icoaraci and vice versa. Lots of Brazilians attend the procession and go along with the sculpture from Catedral da Sé to the Basilica. If you wish, you can easily join them with bells and fireworks.
There are many other festivals including Carnaval in Salvador, Olinda’s Carnaval, Recife’s Festival etc. that are held each year in Brazil. If you have a plan to travel to Brazil, then you can try out these options too.
