Exploring Salvador - Popular Brazilian Tourist Attraction

Salvador is one of the most preferred Brazilian tourist attractions and is the capital of Bahia. This is the third largest city in Brazil with beautiful coasts. Those who are heading to Latin American beach vacations often opt for this Brazilian destination. This place was known as a hot spot of slave trading. This is not unknown to us that Brazil is a tropical country with extensive natural vegetations, rain forests and abundant natural resources. Therefore, besides coasts, Brazil is bestowed with many other attractions.

Few places to see in Salvador

Forte de Santo Antônio da Barra

This fort was built in the year 1698 and is one of the oldest edifices in Salvador. This is also known as Farol da Barra because of the beautiful light house. Here, tourists get a chance to explore the museums that have remnants of the past, Portuguese  as well as British. Tourists enjoy a complete day here in the lush green gardens. Sunset from the terrace cafe in this spectacular destination can be a wonderful experience altogether.

Solar do Unhão

This is a well preserved 18th century architect that was once served the purpose of sugar shipments. According to some local legends, this place has something uncanny about it. Some of the local inhabitants also think that the ghosts of the murdered slaves are still there in the dark houses at the Museu de Arte Moderna. Inspite of the ghostly threats, visitors explore these places. There are fine restaurants that arrange shows on Folklore, performed by local artists of Salvador. This is indeed one of the greatest Brazilian tourist attractions.

Elevador Lacerda

Elevador Lacerda is one of the famous architectures of this place. This is a 191 tall structure that is a giant elevator. Nearly 50,000 people use this elevator on a daily basis. This connects the Cidade Alta and Cidade Baixa. Previously the Jesuits used manual pulley to elevate goods conveniently.

These are some of the greatest Brazilian tourist attractions in Salvador.
