Vienna

Schonbrunn Palace- The palace building with its sprawling gardens is an important cultural landmark. The palace has been home to several Hapsburg monarchs and is an important tour attraction today! Top attractions include the Tiergarten, Orangerie, French Garden, and the English Garden.

Hofburg Palace- the awe inspiring architecture and interesting history make it one of the most important local attractions. Some of the most powerful families of the Austro-Hungarian empire have lived in its quarters. This was the royal winter home in olden days. 

St. Stephen’s Cathedral­- also known as Stephensdom, the cathedral is the seat of Archbishop of Vienna. The Romansque and Gothic influence on the architecture is due to its history that goes back to the 1300’s. The initial structure was damaged long ago. The current building was built much later. 

Other interesting attractions include the Albertina, Vienna State Opera, Leopold Museumand the Sigmund Freud Museum.
